new pulley
When I import the .stl into sketch up
the size is wrong

What is a good reference measurement 3mm hole?

I have to get it in to a CAD to lengthen arm for my set up
Get the pulley kinda centered in slot.

Okay. None of the holes are exactly 3mm or 8mm so don't use them. Even the bearing holes are 22.1mm. I would use the arm cross section as a reference. It should be exactly 25x25mm.

BTW, I just downloaded sketchup to see what is going on and there is no native way to import an STL. How are you importing?

I use Sketchup 8.0.16846
Under File there is "Import"

I installed plugins to export stl
Import plugin may be
Jim's STL importer

http://sketchuptips.blogspot.com/2012/0 ... orter.html

there is Sketchup Make I'll have to download that to see what is different?

Really file is Z-Pulley_holder.stl

Want to have pulley stick out more from table to
get it into slot?

The tab that goes out to table is NOT square?
so can't be 25 x 25?

I was saying that you could pull in an arm and check the scale on it and then apply the same scaling to the pulley holder.

How much more do you need it to stick out? It would be quick for me to make you a custom STL.

Thanks,

That is nice! You can also use a tuner. It is important to note that you will need to keep adjustments very small or you have to completely redo your calibration table.
