I made all the measurements on Wally Chrome
Entered them into python segmentize code

Still not printing well?

suppose to be 90mm square and peg straight up

I have been thinking of ripping Wally chome's heart out (electronics)
to put it to better use!

Well, it is certainly up to you. I will do my best to get the geometry straightened out. However, this project will require a fair amount of personal debugging. (Wally is not destine to be a RepRap standard. All the lessons learned from GUS and Wally are going toward a 1-Arm SCARA that won't be as problematic as Wally.)

Well I guess I should have waited for the ultimate Seward design?

I thought to be part of 20 Wally builds would be neat, but I don't
think there will be many Wally's built.
Can't figure how your Wally prints decent and Wally Chrome is so bad?

What happened to LISA another one of a kind design.
Expensive Leadscrews?
I was hoping for a threadless leadscrew LISA?

So which Seward design is going to break out and be a many many build system?

Hope to see "Sykes" soon.

Ultimate Seward design? I hope that will always be a moving target.

Wally will probably be supplanted by the 1-Arm SCARA. (Name TBD. It may be Lillian Morgan if I collaborate with Quentin Harley.)

Simpson geometry printers aren't going anywhere. The simplicity and the symmetry are just too good. Some version of a Simpson whether it is from me or someone else will be a future popular model. (I will also be working to make mega Simpson's that can print 10 foot tall objects. I probably wont' be printing in plastic.)

LISA was more of a joke and she only got built because I had a virtual model of her and my students had the need for a quick project. I like her and will use her but I will never push the design. Others are drawn to LISA so who knows what will happen with her.

I am working quietly on the electronics side of this so that crazy printer designs can be driven in real time and can autocalibrate. I don't think any of my printers are going to get wide adoption until they have autocalibration. I sincerely hope that the next version of GUS and the 1-arm SCARA will be get wide adoption but what I really care about is providing a cheap easy to use bot. I am just trying to have fun and slowly move the ball down the field.

Yours models are awesome. Congrats a lot for those. I don't know yet if I'll build one... Print results seem not be perfect on other builds than yours.

Hey Nick
When will there be a fix for Wally or Python SW so mine will print decent?

Tnx

Well, there are at least 3 Wally's that print well but aren't very accurate. (2 that use segmentize) Without working on your machine or having more clues I am not sure what to tell you. I will eventually fix whatever my math error is but that should not prevent your printer from printing fit-to-air stuff.

To help with the debugging, get various machine coordinate and real coordinate pairs. Throw the real coordinates through segmentize and see what you get out. Doing it point by point may help you track down where it goes off the rails.
