githubs a bit messy - which parts are current?

githubs a bit messy - which parts are current?

Nicholas - OK your a terrible influence ;) I ran across Lisa - and you'd read my mind... Something I'd wanted to build for a while...

Then I saw Gus ... Getting ready to hand a spool of PLA over to a buddy - and a sdcard of parts to print... I will have this printer ;)

But trying to sort out which parts are current versions. Any chance of a directory split - keep the current files in the main directory and save legacy parts into an older one? Also curious if anyone has plated the parts into groups yet to save some config/print time.

Thanks in advance!

That's what revision control is for. The latest parts are in the master branch, you have to _try_ to get older files if you want them. The STL files you want for GUS are here: https://github.com/NicholasSeward/ConceptFORGE/tree/master/GUS%20Simpson/STLs

Note these are for the whole printer, you'll just want to print the plastic pieces and not things like M3 bolts. See the BOM file for details: https://github.com/NicholasSeward/ConceptFORGE/blob/master/GUS%20Simpson/BOM.csv

Print the arms, shoulders, and hub top/center/bottom pieces indivdually. This is almost the entire printer. I print the nuts and hub screw on a platter with lower layer height for better threads (0.2mm). You can print the washers and eccentrics as their own plate, or throw them in with the nuts if you've got the build area. Finally, I typically print the filament drive as it's own plate as well.

You should also check out the GUS Red (Spider-pig) thread. There's some info on getting good prints, and a link to sgraber's spreadsheet with print times and plating:
