Reprint?

Postby jhoff » Mon Apr 14, 2014 7:03 pm

I've had a couple of arms come out with a small X-shifts ( still troubleshooting that issue ). As long as the shift doesn't impact the herringbone gear travel, should they still be ok to use? Will I be able to compensate for the shift in calibration later on, or do the parts need a tighter tolerance?

I would say no.

The bolts need to be exactly centered.

Thanks. Now that I have to actually fix the occasional x slipping problem, it took all of 30 seconds to identify the problem... bed was binding against my GT2 pulley on a far right side. Cleared that issue up and was able to turn the pot on the X motor down so it's not hot anymore. Thanks for the kick in the pants...

And now for another 8 hour print...
